Our project Preservation of traditional crafts by making documentary films has as its general goal the preservation and transmission of traditions, customs, culture from the territory of the Alutus Leader Area by making documentary films about the traditional crafts specific to the minorities living in the micro-region.
We are talking about an approach, which is based on a real need identified at the level of the Alutus Leader territory regarding the loss of some cultural values, such as traditional crafts. In this way it is important to preserve them for future generations. At the level of the European Union, the tendency is to bring the values, traditions, cultural experiences of communities as close as possible to audio-visual and digital.
The project also specifically targets traditional crafts from disadvantaged communities.
The project was financed by the Alutus through measure M1/6B – Investments in cultural heritage and basic services in the territory of Alutus.
